Aid For Friends opened an Emergency Shelter in Pocatello, Idaho in 1984, after the death of two homeless men during a harsh winter. Emergency services include; meals, overnight stays, showers, laundry, information and referral, community access, bus tickets, and case management.

The shelter is open nightly from 5:30pm to 7:45am. Single men and women, families with children and persons with referrals from other agencies all utilize the Night Shelter. This is the only Emergency Shelter in Southeastern Idaho that accepts all populations. The shelter operates 365 days a year and has the capacity to shelter up to 45 people.
